The start of spring is finally here! We are starting the month in Pisces’ deep, dreamy energy and then will finish the month in the direct and real energy of Aries. By the end of the month, you'll be very aware of how you feel in many areas of life. You will feel inspired, but a little slowed down. It doesn't mean you are stuck — just that you need to pace yourself.

Early March

The Hanged Man + The Hierophant

The beginning of the month is represented by The Hanged Man and The Hierophant cards. These cards share the energy of perspective and opinion. They both find it difficult to budge on how they see things and stand firm in what they believe. The Hanged Man likes to explore alternatives, while The Hierophant has never seen things differently. For different reasons, they cannot conform to what others might want them to do or agree with.

The Hanged Man

  • The Hanged Man oftentimes symbolizes being paused or having to make a sacrifice. The principle behind this card is that you are sometimes limited by your perspective, and that can slow you down. It also symbolizes seeing things differently than other people — and sometimes being singled out for that. This card could mean that you need to look at things differently in order to move forward, or it can be a reminder to stand your ground.

  • This week, you are being encouraged to see things through a new lens, even if you still hold the same position. It's a reminder to stay open-minded and to embrace your curiosity in order to learn new information, perspectives, or challenge your own beliefs. Remain observant and be aware of your surroundings. There will not be any traps, but there could be situations you want to approach more slowly than normal. If you are being singled out for something, stay strong. This card says that things will pass. This week might feel slower than normal, but it’s just giving you more time to pace yourself.

The Hierophant

  • The Hierophant is all about tradition, morals, ethics, and anything else you believe about life that just cannot be shaken. These are feelings, thoughts, and beliefs that you are entirely convinced of. Oftentimes, these are beliefs passed down through loved ones or beliefs that have been important to you for the entirety of your life. This is how you look at life and what you believe is possible. It's also a card about conformity and all the feelings involved with the expectations of others.

  • This week, take advantage of the slowness in order to re-establish old systems and beliefs. More importantly, check in with yourself about what's important to you in your present state of life and what you believe in. Decide which morals are non-negotiable for you and what standards you demand from those around you. It's your choice how you see the world — so will you be an optimist or a pessimist? What decisions might you make when you give yourself permission to pursue your freedom and goals?

Mid-March

8, 9, and 10 of Cups

The middle of March is represented by the 8, 9, and 10 of Cups. These cards represent leaving the past behind, recognizing what you have to be grateful for, and celebrating how far you've come with your loved ones. Because these cards are Cups, they symbolize emotion and experience. Oftentimes, this is about seeing the value in what you need to leave behind and walking away despite the pain — just to finally see all the goodness and love around you.

8 of Cups

  • The 8 of Cups represents abandonment, betrayal, endings of relationships, and just plain leaving it all behind. It's a painful card because you let go of everything. It's where you decide that it's not going to get better and that you are better off letting go and continuing down the path you are walking. It feels like a hard decision, but it leaves you weightless for the next stretch of road.
  • This week, you might need to make that decision in some areas or see the good in why it’s better to walk away. Don't feel like you are abandoning it. You need to choose what is best for you — and if that is somebody else leaving you, then maybe you're better off this way. Things are different now, and you cannot live in the past. So make the choice that best supports your next chapter and what you truly want. Choose what also wants you.

9 of Cups

  • The 9 of Cups is all about satisfaction, gratitude, accomplishment, pride, and just feeling good about what you have. It's where you feel so happy about your life and everything and everyone in it. It's a very happy feeling — and it lasts. This card can caution you to be wary of those who might try to steal from your success, but it still feels rewarding. It's a reflection of the gratitude you feel inside, as well as the accomplishments you've had on the outside.

  • This week, enjoy what you have. Feel good about how far you've come and where you are in the present. Don't be in a rush to be in the future just yet, but instead feel good in this current moment. Embrace positivity in your days and be sure to act on generous urges you might feel. What you share will also be returned to you in other ways. Be happy about where you are, but also reflect on the positivity that followed harder times. It's a good day to be alive, so enjoy it.

10 of Cups

  • The 10 of Cups symbolizes family, friends, loved ones, and happy endings. It's a card of celebration for how far you've come — whether you were alone or with others. It's a breath of fresh air and rest before the next journey. However, there is no rush to start the next journey. It's a card where you feel like you have everything you could want and there’s just utter peace. Simply quiet.

  • This week, be mindful to notice moments when you feel at peace or are enjoying the company around you. Tell people how much they mean to you and thank those who helped you along the journey. Recognize how much support you have, even when you feel alone. Allow cycles to complete and do not cling to control around endings. Allow yourself to feel whole and like you can stay in this chapter for some more time. There's no rush to start the next thing, so enjoy this moment.

Late March

Knight of Cups

  • The Knight of Cups is about emotional expression and backing your feelings up with effort. It can show up when you are being approached with some kind of flirtation or emotional gesture, or when somebody goes the distance to show you how much they care. However it appears, it's about somebody showing that they care. Reflectively, it can also represent how you show that you care. This card can build expectations about who you think somebody is. Sometimes people lead as though they will do more — and then they don’t.

  • This week, pay attention to how people you hold close approach your connection — but also be mindful of how you do, too. What do you like about the people in your life? What qualities do you want to see more of? How can you be a better individual in the lives of others? It's a great time to reflect on these questions and to be more affectionate with those you love. There's no reason to hold back on what you feel, so cultivate relationships that make you feel safe but also allow yourself the freedom to love the way you want to.
