September: The Magic of Devotion

September: The Magic of Devotion

It’s already September?? Fall is almost here! But wow did September come up quickly. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to light my Fall candles today. September can be such a relaxing month as we close out the Summer and prepare for our own inner Winter.

Also…

Happy Birthday to all the September Virgo’s & Libra’s!

Early September:

The Hermit & The Magician

The beginning of September is represented by the Hermit & the Sun cards. This tarot pair asks you to “self-study”. These cards help you reflect on where you have got here and how you can choose to proceed. It’s about sorting through your energy, understanding yourself, and applying your strengths where you can use them. It’s observing your actions and filtering through how you want to show up in the future. It’s a good time to understand how intricate we can be as individuals. There are so many parts of you that the world needs, but maybe you don’t know what is needed.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Hermit

The Hermit is the version of yourself that nobody sees. It’s a place that you feel comfortable in but also aren’t in a rush to leave. The Hermit is all about introspection and reflection, not loneliness. Being a Hermit does not mean you are anti-social! Rather, you are taking time to understand yourself. This card encourages you to lean into this reflection and ask yourself who you really are when you are completely alone.

  • It takes enormous courage to face your shadows and embrace reflection. Oftentimes, it can be hard not to be self-critical. Be easy and understanding with yourself. This card is not encouraging you to isolate from your loved ones. Instead take this week to be more present with your subconscious self. This could be a spontaneous camping trip or a spa day alone, maybe even a day where you get the whole checklist done. You don’t need to abandon your responsibilities, but you can rendezvous with yourself and do something out of the ordinary. The Hermit can mean finding yourself. Whatever you do, just allow yourself to return back to you.

The Hermit card is represented by the sign of Virgo, which is the zodiac season we are currently in.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Magician

The Magician encourages you to explore life’s possibilities and welcome what wants to come in. It asks how you are going about creating the life you desire and how you can take better care of your spiritual self. Think about how you are viewing yourself through various life moments. How do you go about deciding what you feel good about and what you feel ashamed of. This week is a great time to reflect on these decisions throughout your daily life. When you understand how you process life or your emotions, you discover strengths that you didn’t know you had. And lots of these sensitivities and strengths can actually become part of your creative process.

  • As we enter Virgo season, you might be feeling more pressure to remain productive and to close out the year strong. But life is not meant to be rushed, nor are you meant to hold yourself to such high standards. Instead of forcing the process, understand how to create the right kind for you. How you decide to view yourself is also how the world will view you too.

Mid-September:

8, 9, and 10 of Pentacles

The pentacles are all about hard work, assessing natural gifts, learning skills, and refining expertise.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 of Pentacles

  • The Eight of Pentacles asks you this week to release control with the push and pull of life and instead to allow life to mold you. This isn’t about giving up control—it’s about letting life teach you more than what you expect. When you are open there is so much more to discover.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

9 of Pentacles

  • The Nine of Pentacles is a very private energy as it represents success from personal investments! It’s about getting to enjoy the life that you have built, as well as work hard for. This week, let yourself enjoy the solitude with extra sensuality. You deserve it! Allow yourself to enjoy the fruits of your labor, maybe even spending some money on a nice gift for yourself.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 of Pentacles

  • The Ten of Pentacles is complete financial security. Oftentimes, this card represents working hard so that other people can experience the benefits of said work. However, there is an energy of “I need to have it all” when we look at this card. Typically, there is a feeling of life being incomplete and needing to finally “make it”. This is a fallacy and quite the distraction from seeing what we already have. So take time this week to acknowledge the value of the imperfect parts of your life. You can find satisfaction with what you already have in front of you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

End of September:

Knight of Pentacles

The Knight of Pentacles reminds you to listen to your body this week. Knights in tarot are all about practicing and letting other energies shape them so that they can learn. This is a good reminder that sometimes it is better to switch your approach. You are encouraged to take time to settle your nervous system by pacing yourself this week. Don’t bite off more than you can chew now. By listening to the natural tune of your body, you can learn how to prepare for the next chapter ahead.

  • When you are tense and controlling in life, you are prone to break. Think about it like a spaghetti noodle: if you are rigid you snap, but if you allow yourself to be changed by the water then you become flexible. Learn how to dance with life rather than resist it. So listen to your body this week and what you feel comfortable taking on, even if that means setting boundaries and saying no to those who ask you for favors.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

September is a great month to get clear on what you want to work towards now, but also how to pace yourself so that you can maintain the same level of effort. Your work will pay off, but it is advantageous to reflect and discover what you’ve really got skill wise.
