December: Go Along For The Ride

It’s hard to believe that it’s already the end of 2025! For me, it feels like this year flew right by. I have so much gratitude for what has happened this year—it’s been the best year of my life. I’m sure you’ve had a lot change too, and that’s exactly what this month’s energy revolves around.

Beginning of December: Wheel of Fortune & Temperance

The beginning of December is represented by the Wheel of Fortune and Temperance cards. Both of these symbolize a choice: whether you want to go along for the wild ride of life or stay where you are. No matter what you choose, you’re being asked to decide what is truly best for you. It’s time to take the wheel and zoom out to see your life from a bigger perspective. Regardless of what form of divinity you prefer, these cards symbolize the significance of your life and what it is becoming.

The Wheel of Fortune symbolizes change and cycles—both prosperous new beginnings and reflective endings that require you to let go. This energy can show up as realizations, perspective shifts, new opportunities, or a nudge that the old way isn’t fitting anymore. The lesson here is switching on cruise control and relaxing into the twists and turns instead of gripping the steering wheel in fear. Yes, the Wheel is an amazing sign of luck and prosperity, but it also reminds you to be okay with things changing. Everything must shift eventually, and so should you.

This month, allow yourself to approach change with curiosity instead of panic. You might feel extra aware of situations that need to end, or areas where life is naturally pushing you forward. Trust that nothing is random. The Wheel helps you move past fears of fate and into a place where you feel supported by the universe, even when life surprises you.

Allow yourself a willingness to see what happens. Let life lead you on the adventure. Sometimes you won’t understand the “why” until much later, but the Wheel promises that movement is happening in your favor. Notice how you typically respond to situations that disrupt your expectations—this is the month to build a healthier relationship with uncertainty and trust both the seen and unseen forces guiding you.

The Temperance card is all about experiments, reactions, and choosing what balances you. If I do this, what will happen? If I go here, how will it shift my future? This is the card of testing, blending, and finding your unique formula in life. When Temperance appears, you may be stuck at a crossroads and searching for the right direction. Good news: you’re already on the right track—you just need a little more intentional thought behind your choices. Living with intention is the theme.

In real life, this can show up as you adjusting your routines, reevaluating relationships, noticing your triggers, or deciding what kind of energy you want to bring into the new year. You might feel more reflective, more experimental, or more aware of the long-term consequences of even small choices. It’s a great time to learn from your experiences, integrate the lessons, and prepare yourself for the next era of life.

This early December, be mindful of how you can strategically take steps, make decisions, or slow down where needed. Embrace curiosity and have fun experimenting. Commit to bigger goals at this time and brainstorm how they can actually work out. Maybe get a head start on your vision board for next year. Romanticize your journey and fall in love with the process. Every step you take toward your most authentic self is getting you closer to your happiest chapter.

Middle of December: 8, 9, and 10 of Wands

The middle of December’s energy is represented by the 8, 9, and 10 of Wands. There’s a lot happening, and it may feel tiring, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Take time to slow down when you can and trust that deeper rest will find you in January. Wands are all about energy, passion, and soul expression. They show your motivations, your fears, what lights you up, and what drains you. These cards reflect not only how you respond to life’s twists but also what your subconscious tries to communicate when you’re under stress.

The 8 of Wands is fast, fun, and full of momentum! It’s the freedom to move forward, for things to finally click, and for multiple positive changes to happen at once. But it can also feel like too much all at the same time. In real life, this might look like sudden communication, multiple opportunities showing up, unexpected plans, or a boost of energy pushing you forward. Just know: this influx is something you once wished for. You’ve worked too hard to pull back now. Support your momentum, breathe through the overwhelm, and allow things to unfold. It’s go-time—but you get to decide whether you meet this energy with enthusiasm or resistance.

The 9 of Wands brings a pause—a moment of “Okay, I need a breather.” This card acknowledges your hard work and perseverance. Emotionally and physically, you may feel worn down, but you’re so close to the finish line. Let yourself take short breaks. Rest is not failure. It’s essential for endurance and clarity. This card often shows up when you’re protecting yourself or anticipating disappointment, so be gentle with yourself if you feel on edge. You might even discover better methods or ideas during your pause that make your path easier.

The 10 of Wands is the end of an era—if you let it be. You can keep carrying everything on your shoulders, but it won’t change the outcome. This card encourages you to put something down and call it complete. Reflect on your wins and losses without judgment or ego. This is the moment of release where you acknowledge what’s been too heavy for too long. Your next chapter can be so much lighter once you stop forcing yourself to do everything alone. The lessons of this month will give you wisdom for an easier, more aligned approach moving forward.

End of December: Knight of Wands

The end of December is represented by the Knight of Wands—fast, enthusiastic, bold, and full of life. The Knight comes and goes quickly, but he leaves impact wherever he shows up. This energy symbolizes how your passion may rise at the end of the month. Something might excite you, tempt you, or inspire you to take action.

Sometimes things sound exciting in theory but are harder to follow through on. In this case, though, you are being encouraged to embody the Knight of Wands yourself. Allow full self-expression. Meet challenges confidently. Respond without hesitation. Be bold.

In late December, don’t be afraid to take risks. Taking a risk is an act of self-trust—it means you believe in your ability to navigate whatever happens. This is the time to build a greater tolerance for risk. Give yourself more freedom, more creative space, more room to be imperfect. By strengthening your ability to leap, you invite luck into your life. The universe rewards the brave.

Taking risks doesn’t have to mean extremes. It simply means committing fully to something and seeing it through. You can make choices based on both your past wisdom and your instincts. Follow your intuition—especially at the end of the month. It’s leading you somewhere meaningful.
